Skill Centre Program (U8, U9, U10, U11)

Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club's Skill Centre Program aligns with Canada Soccer’s best practices for youth development. The curriculum for this program focuses on the player’s continued love for the ball and progresses into 1v1, 2v2 and small sided games. In our Skill Centre Program our players train twice a week with match play occurring on weekends. Players of all skill level are accepted as long as space is available.

The overarching purpose of the Canada Soccer Skill Centre model is to provide players “access to high-quality programs where they can have fun with their friends, learn new skills and play the game in an appropriate format” (For more information on the Skill Centre Program, please review the Canada Soccer Association Skill Centre Manual.)

Skill Centre Program - Need to Know

  • Training schedules are subject to change based on facility availability.
  • There will be no make-up sessions or pro-rated fees based on lost training sessions or late registration.
  • Players who are assigned to a team with a higher fee based on their skill level will be responsible to pay the higher fee.
  • Missed payments may result in your player being removed from the program. Please be sure to make your payments on time to avoid any disruption in training or games.
  • Facility closures and extreme weather conditions are beyond our control and can cause training to be cancelled. Members are asked to monitor HRM Field Conditions, their emails and our social media feeds for updates. HRM updates their Field Conditions page every day by 3pm.
  • Please refer to our Refund Policy in the event that you need to withdraw from a program.
